Hygiene and Safety Standards
For the next IT-Defense, of course we will consider all legally required hygiene and safety measures together with the conference hotel and the locations where the evening events will take place.
It is a basic requirement for your participation to comply with the so-called 2G‑plus rule. This means, only persons vaccinated twice or recovered persons vaccinated once can participate in the conference and only if they additionally provide negative rapid test. Participants who already received a booster vaccination and recovered persons who are vaccinated twice are exempt from the obligation to provide a test.
Furthermore we ask every attendee for a voluntary rapid test per day in order to reduce the risk of infection through daily testing. There is a test station directly in the hotel.
To meet the legal regulations and minimize the infection risk, we have significantly reduced the maximum number of participants to 150 including cirosec staff, speakers and press representatives. The risk of infection is thus kept very low, while we are also able to maintain the event’s character with top-class presentations and a lot of networking possibilities.
We have planned the size of the conference rooms and the premises for the evening events to be such that it is possible to keep a safe distance of at least 1.5 meters; moreover, they can also be well-ventilated.
Refreshments and food will of course be provided during the event as usual. In close coordination with the hotel, we ensure that both the coffee breaks and lunch can take place while adhering to the legal requirements and recommendations. Higher hygiene standards have been implemented (e.g. higher cleaning frequency), and there is enough disinfectant available to you.
Also for the evening events, we have agreed upon certain regulations with the respective hosts, so that it will be possible to meet all the requirements regarding the hygiene standards.
Please wear a mouth-nose covering – which we will provide to you – in all areas where it is not possible to keep the minimum distance and in designated zones.
Should you notice any symptoms of a possible COVID-19 infection, we kindly ask you not to participate in the event.
Please also observe the hygiene recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute (cough etiquette, regularly washing hands, etc.).
Do not hesitate to contact us in case you have any further questions or need more details.
We are very happy that IT Defense can take place again and look forward to meeting you in Berlin in February 2022!
