In this course, our experienced trainers will introduce you to security-relevant features of the AWS cloud. They will also present configuration possibilities and measures for the administration and secure operation of AWS cloud environments. 

Using hands-on exercises and demonstrations based on typical threat scenarios, you will learn which security aspects should be taken into account for the design, configuration and operation of cloud architectures.

During the training, we will first discuss typical threat scenarios and risks in cloud environments. 

Topics include:

• Data security vs. data loss
• Account misuse and identity theft
• Poor cloud strategy
• Emergency concepts
• Attacks on availability

The second part of the training will focus on the discussion of specific risks in AWS cloud environments and the presentation of suitable measures to minimize the discussed risks. This concerns the following aspects:

• Secure setup of an AWS infrastructure
• Securing the cloud
• Permissions management
• Logging
• Serverless computing

In addition, we will show the typical organizational and technical challenges of the secure operation of an AWS cloud environment and discuss possible solutions.

At the end of the training, the participants will have a thorough understanding of possible threats and be able to efficiently implement the recommendations on the protection of AWS cloud environments in the future.

The training is conducted in German by two experienced trainers. They work as consultants and can thus complement the course with comprehensive and recent practical experience. 

You will receive CPE Points for participating in the training. The training takes 16 hours. You will get a certificate after having completed the training.
