Prof. Dr. Dr. Manfred Spitzer
Prof. Dr. Dr. Manfred Spitzer studied medicine, psychology and philosophy in Freiburg. After his habilitation for psychology, he worked as assistant medical director at the university hospital in Heidelberg. Research stays in the US (Harvard University and University of Oregon) shaped the further scientific work of Manfred Spitzer at the interface of neurobiology, psychology and psychiatry. Since 1997, Manfred Spitzer is the medical director at the psychiatric university hospital in Ulm. In 2004 he established the “Transferzentrum für Neurowissenschaften und Lernen (ZNL)”, which is a transfer center for neurosciences and learning (ZNL).
