Daniel Lorch
Daniel Lorch is First detective superintendent and has worked in the most diverse areas during his almost 30 years of service. Most recently, he has worked in the department of capital and sexual crimes for over 10 years. Since 2019, he has been the head of investigation and deputy head of K5 at the police department in Reutlingen, where he mainly deals with large and severe international attacks on businesses, authorities, municipalities, etc. However, complex cyber scams and attacks on payment systems also belong to his tasks. In doing so, he can draw on his global network of cyber services. Among his national successes are the international takedown and the destruction of a Crime-as-a-Service platform as part of the Operation NOVA in 2020. Since 2022, as a national lead, he has been responsible for central investigations concerning HIVE in Germany. This led to the international takedown and the breakup of the Ransomware-as-a-Service group HIVE in early 2023.
